PRIMARY FILMING COMPLETED!

Posted: 17th May 2012 by Crowbar in General Info

We have worked through an exhausting weekend to film every sequence needed for the pilot of the show. We have hours of footage, excellent takes for everything, and a practically endless supply of stuff to go through, compare, and put together. In other words, FUN, FUN, FUN!

Stay tuned for a nice little “something” that you can show your friends and family to help to begin getting the word out about this awesome show! Including a little bit of information about certain actors who have said “YES!” to being on the show. Familiar faces, familiar names, all in the family.

And an event where you can see the show days before anyone else can! A special event!!

Keep checking in for more information!

PRIMARY FILMING FOR THE PILOT

Posted: 4th May 2012 by Crowbar in General Info

Primary filming for the pilot begins this weekend. It’s quite the lineup, but it only gets better and better the more we work on this!

Many thanks need to be made to the Mayor of Carbondale, the City Clerk, and the Director of the Office of Economic and Community Development, as they have worked diligently to make sure this show happens in their great city! Stand and take a bow, Justin, Michele, and Christine (names to titles, respectively)!

We can only hope that our fans out there will be paying attention for one bang up hit of a show once we begin to release these in progressive time.

It’s been a long time coming… And the wait for the PILOT is almost over!!

CARBONDALE

Posted: 31st March 2012 by Crowbar in General Info

The production of Mob on the Run has been moved to Carbondale, PA.

Carbondale is a medium-sized city just north of Scranton, PA, and has quite a bit of history.

The interesting thing about this move is the amount of changes this allows for the production, taking the initial storyline from a “fish in water” to a “fish out of water” scenario. This offers numerous possibilities for the comedy side of the series, and also helps to provide adequate space in which to create.

Many thanks go out to the Mayor, the City Clerk, the Director of Office of Economic and Community Development, and the fine folks of Carbondale for letting us into their fine city, and for helping to make this one, successful series!

Auditions Went Well

Posted: 3rd March 2012 by Crowbar in General Info

We have finished the first of the auditions for the show!

We met quite a few great people and we’re looking forward to meeting more! Check out the auditions page for the next auditions and get in contact!

This show will feature quite a few “one offs”, where the talent might only be seen for one episode. Please keep that in mind when contacting us.

We look forward to meeting many more people!

Props. Equipment. More. We could use your help!

We’re trying to find numerous items for the show. Now, we could go out and buy most of this stuff, but asking the current fans of the show to help us find them for little or nothing would be great! The first things we need hinge on an office and everything that might need to be in it.

  • Desks (metal preferred; decent condition)
  • Flat panel LCD monitors, even if they don’t work.
  • Desk phone system
  • Keyboards (prefer black, but anything will work)
  • Mice. Yeah, not the running-wheel type, but the computer type. Broken is fine.
  • Desk calendars
  • Pens, pencils
  • Adding calculator
  • Computer speakers (broken is fine)
  • Filing trays
  • Coffee mugs
  • Coffee maker (we might be getting a real one, since some folks actually drink the stuff!)
  • Filing cabinets
  • Barrister cabinet
  • Brochure holder
  • File holder
  • Anything that is personable and looks good sitting on a desk
  • Waste paper baskets

We could also use numerous other assorted items; usually things that won’t be returned, or could be, but after some time of filming:

  • Shoulder holsters (for pistols)
  • Security guard uniforms
  • Badge holder wallets (and badges)
  • more to come…

We also could use these locations for filming, if you would happen to know anyone who knows someone:

  • A prison or jail block (prefer large, open areas and bars, but solid doors work as well. A cell block works great.)
  • Restaurants
  • Hotels
  • Motels
  • Offices
  • Apartments of various shapes and sizes, prefer large
  • Machine shops
  • Anything that would be open to filming for short, weekend periods

Compensation might be possible, but finding these treasures for little to nothing is premium. You help is appreciated and will be reflected in the show’s credits and here on the website.

Auditioning new crew…

Posted: 27th January 2012 by Crowbar in Crowbar's Corner

I’ve seen it all through the years. I’ve been beaten, dragged, knocked unconscious, had bottles split over my head, and kicked in the muffins more times than many. So, I’m wondering what Mickey plans on bringing to the table.

So we’re looking into bringing in some new “talent”.

Yeah, it’s true when I tell ya that I’ve met tons of people. Most of ‘em no good. The feeling that we might find the right people for the job is something that always seems to allude me when I’m sitting behind that table and squaring the eyes off some chick or dude who ain’t looking to be serious about what they gotta do. It makes me want to rear up and knock their teeth down their throat. But then we get the serious folks… The ones who had a fitting for the roles that are put in front of ‘em, and know what they need to be doin’ in order to make things work for all the criminals involved. And by criminals, I mean me included.

So, if you’re reading this, and you’re thinking about heading up to meet the gang, looking at taking on some extra work, know that Crowbar is gonna be watching. Watching and taking notes. And you’d BETTER NOT think about wasting my time! Or I’ll be coming for ya… You can count on it.

Fundraising

Posted: 26th January 2012 by Crowbar in General Info

The importance of the fundraiser is making sure that the project has enough funds in it in order to continue making the show. Each of the fundraisers on IndieGoGo are divided into different stages, which include:

  • STAGE 1: Raising funds to purchase some important equipment dedicated to the show.
  • STAGE 2: This is the stage where we raise funds to bring in a named actor. Currently we are examining our options, but Dennis Farina and Frank Vincent are among the lead contenders.
  • STAGE 3: Here we try to raise enough funds to have a location-specific shoot, more than likely in New York City. This will include opportunities to get rather scenic shots over the shots we take on our first visit.
  • STAGE 4: Again, we raise the money in order to bring in a named actor, to be determined at a later time. This could also be the time we decide to use the same as the STAGE 2 actor that we brought in.
  • STAGE 5: While we hope to have achieved the goal of bringing in advertising sponsors associated with the show, this stage is to begin the process of getting Mickey to specific locations to film with important people. More information will be available as the time comes closer.
  • STAGE 6: The DVD stage. This is when we will raise funds for building the DVD library for our fans and contributors. While contributors to any of the stages will have easier access to the DVD’s, including heavily-reduced pricing, fans will find the additional footage, new episodes not released online, and signed copies a real value added bundle.

We hope that you can help by becoming involved with the different STAGES of this production. Even if you cannot provide the financial, you can help by spreading the word about the show and our desires in order to make this a show worthy of a worldwide audience.

Open for business…

Mickey sent me in early to open up the place. Man, I hate being in here all alone. It feels just like someone is watchin’ me, all the time…
